I am thinking of this for our next trip, My children will be 8 and 4. We did the personal boat a few years ago but were rained out. That was wonderful( even with the rain) but I think the children would like the character interaction. Can I ask the team to do a review? I know that your photos and videos would awesome. Thanks!!

I did it several years ago. I don't have a lot of photos, but I can tell you it was a lot of fun! We had a little party at the Contemporary with snacks first. Capt. Hook and Smee were there for pictures. Then we left on the cruise and there was a pirate who asked us trivia questions and gave out prizes. He entertained us while we went out in the boat. We saw the water parade (whatever that is called). Then it was time for the fireworks. They dim the lights on the boat and pipe in the music. It was beautiful to see that from the water. Then we went back and a "special guest" was waiting for more meet and greets. This was several years ago, so I don't know if anything has changed, but I was definitely happy I did it. I was a solo adult also, so it is not only for kids.

it looks fun, we are six so it would be costly, debating between a pontoon boat and this. Thanks for the input!!

If you are debating between the Pirates and Pals and the pontoon boat here's a few things that might help make your decision.

On P & P you get 3 character interactions, none on the pontoon. You get "junk food" desserts at P&P, not sure what food is offered on the pontoons. The pirate entertainment is hilarious and your kids are perfect ages. If it was just adults I might suggest the pontoon instead.

If your goal is just a great fireworks view, then choose the less expensive. If you want a Disney magic evening choose P & P.

I know my kids would love P&P I just have not heard too much about it or seen any photos etc. I am just lazy as well, we could grab the pontoon from GF, P&P we need to head to contp. Not a big trip I know, lol, but I have learned with my crew of small kids and grandparents sometimes simple is better.;)

If I get a chance tonight from home I will post some pictures. We did the P & P last month and loved it. Our kids are 6 and 4. We met at the Contemporary where there was cake, ice cream sandwhiches, gold chocolate coins, frozen fruit bars, pretzels to name a few and coffee and juice. We met Captain Hook and Mr. Smee there also. The kids enjoyed all the music and were dancing around. There was coloring and puzzles to occupy the kids after checking in also while waiting for the party to start. We then followed Mr. Smee to our boat. I really enjoyed the boat ride also - our pirate was so much fun.
Peter Pan does wait for you on the dock and you can meet him after (we didn't because we were the last ones off the 2nd boat so with the line up and DS4 being tired and DD6 falling asleep on the boat after the fireworks we didn't stick around to wait). I can add that it was nice that they kept the strollers inside locked up but when the boats docked they brought the strollers out and had them waiting by Peter Pan (we had ours for DS because we had spent all day before at MK). We feel it was definitely worth the money and will be doing it again for our next trip.
