I haven't heard much about this lately and so I was wondering if it's still going on!

It was as of 4 days ago when we were there. ;)

Well being as Pirates 3 will be out by the time I hit WDW next fall..I hope it or something similar is going on..AND that Captain Jack will be doing meet and greets!

I'm happy it's still there . . . I was getting worried it would be washed away by all the drooling moms!

This show is SO good. The guy playing Jack was dead on. I just wish you could meet him after the show. He comes out of nowhere and leaves before the show ends so its impssible to catch him. Thought I might see him during our 2 MNSSHP but we didnt. Anyone met him at WDW?

I just read online that the POTC 2 DVD is set to be released on Dec 5th, which is the week we are at WDW. I'm hoping that it will still be going on till then. I've seen other posts/pictures and it looks neat :teeth:

Yep, it was last Sunday.
In fact, it seesm the schedule has increased. It was just finishing as we went into POTC and then just starting on our way our.
I doubt we waited more than 10 Minutes.

Also my DD got picked to be on the 4 pirates Jack trains and she was a STAR!

Yep, my DD got picked to be one of the 4 kids chosen on Thursday. It's a great show and was one of the highlights of her trip!

Here's the picture I took when Jack & Mac selected her:

Ok I understand it's a show but what goes on? Why do they call it a tutorial? DO they "show" u how to act like a pirate? pirate:

Yes, they select 4 kids and "teach" them how to be a pirate. Captain Jack teaches the kids how to use the (plastic) sword to fight Max (or is it Mac?). Then at the end they invite all the kids up and make them honorary pirates by having them repeat the pirate's oath. All the kids who participate receive a scroll/certificate. It's really cute to watch!

What if you are just a kid at heart? Just kidding, it really sounds like a lot of fun and I would like to see the show.

And this is outside the Pirates of the Carribbean ride, right?

Is it on the Times Guide, or just happenstance?

I didn't see it on the times guide, but it was posted on Steve's site (although it started 30 minutes later than posted on his site).

It's immediately to the LEFT of the entrance to POTC, in front of the tower with the "dead men tell no tales" banner (and near the stroller parking area).

Has anyone heard how long this is suppose to go on? Would be great if they continued it until we get there in March! :thumbsup2

It's Mac, btw.

The schedule of the show is also posted on the board in the MK where all the attractions are listed. :thumbsup2

Sounds like something my DS4 would enjoy very much if it wasn't for the fact that he gets shy over things like this.

It was on the times guide when we were there at end of August, otherwise I would never have remembered it! I think there are 4 different "Jacks." I hope you see the one who really looks, talks and has the mannerisms of the movie Jack. He was great!
