I know there was a long thread on the PPP, but I can't find it and my search option isn't working. So, I apologize for the redundance. I don't really understand a lot of the PPP. Do they close MK for it? So if you don't have a PPP ticket, do you get kicked out of MK at 7 pm? Where do you buy tickets? How much do they cost? I've gathered that the start time is 7, but when does it end? What age group is the party geared to? Would it be a waste of money for a 2.5 year old? I've read that there's a tresure hunt, parade, fireworks, and lots of characters. Does that sum it up or are there other things?

Again, I apologize for not following the initial threads. I saw princesses and thought it didn't pertain to me since I have a boy. But, now that he's really gotten into the disney princesses (and that I've learned there's more that goes on), I'm interested on the info. Thanks so much for your help.

The P&P is a special ticketed event. The party starts at 7pm, and anyone wh doesn't have a ticket has to leave the MK. I don't know the number to get tickets, but I can look it up for you. The time is 7pm to midnight. The party is for all ages. I am 22 and have been to 3 parties (and plan on going to more in May). The things you mentioned are there. There are treasure stations with beads and "jewels". The fireworks are AMAZING! The parade is cute, and there are a lot of characters.

Bought my tickets online at WDW website and they mailed to me. They let you in MK as early as 4 pm even if you only have the party ticket. At 7 they will begin having non-ticket holders (you get wristband) leave. They will not be permitted to go on rides, go in stores, buy food or even use the bathrooms. Have been to 3 parties and it goes quite smooth.

Party is fun for all ages. They also have dance parties with characters, games you play and win treasure, a few shows not normally there such as Aladdin/Jasmine, special characters and the characters who are normally there are often in princess or pirate clothing.

so i would like to do a p&pp i will be there in sept...will they offer dates for that late in the year?

Last year the had a couple of Sept parties, but the majority were in Aug. It's too early to know right now if/when they will do parties then.

We did the Pirates and Princesses Party in August and had a blast. Ages in our group were 71, 48, 45, 42, 16, 14, 12, 9 and 3. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. We all dressed up (although you don't have to). All of the rides were walk on. My kids did Space Mountain 3-4 times in a row. We got there about 4 pm (it was crowded from then until about 7:30 pm) and stayed until it closed at midnight. There are treasure stations with candy & beads, special parades, fireworks and lots of characters out and about.

Does anyone know if this is an annual thing, or is just as a special 2008 thing? We are going next January, and I think we (DH, DD 3y.o. and me!) will enjoy it!

You only pay for children 3-9 and adult 10+.
That includes all park admissions.

haha....unfortunately, me, mom, and mil are over 3. ;-) So although it would be free for DS...I meant more the cost associated with us taking him :-)

This is the second year it has been offered. It started Jan 2007.

i want to see a late sept date for this

Typically, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party starts in mid-September and goes through Halloween. It's unlikely that both P&PP and MNSSHP would happen in late September. Of course, you could still dress as pirates and princesses for the Halloween party! princess:

Oh yay! I hope they do offer it again next year then! It seems like so much fun!
