Anyone else tired of Pirate Night and ready for something new?

The Alaskan cruises don't have Pirate Night, tho a lot of those cruisers wish they did.

Pirate Night on our Dec 28th Bahamas cruise on the Wonder was a huge hit. Apparently, a lot of people still like it. On the Alaska cruises, there is no Pirate Night. Instead, on the 2014 cruise we took, there was a Pixar Party.

Pirate Night is not just about the deck party. There are a whole lot of folks that dress up, especially on the longer cruises, and of course you have the dinner menu. Not a huge fan myself, but you have to admit that when Mickey saves us all, it's pretty cool. Every so often they change it up, but the theme is always the same. And of course you have the fireworks and buffet.

Don't know if Mickey could save us from Darth, lol.

I'm sad you didn't propose an alternative of what you would like it to become, or even what about the repetition of the pirate party you find tiring.

We love dressing up as pirates for pirate night. I'm sure Disney loves it selling all the pirate gear and make overs as part of their Disney branding with the films and attractions. While I have not experienced the Pixar party, I don't know if people got enthused about it in terms of dressing up like favorite characters etc. Currently they are doing the Star Wars and the Pirate party on those sailings. All of that said, I'd rather do pirates than Olaf's best summer ever.
