We have an upcoming cruise. When I did my online activity reservation I specifically made my Palo reservation for Pirate Night. I always pick that night as I find this menu the my least favorite in the MDR, we don't me the Animator's Palate night and we are always done in time to pick the kids up and take them to the Deck Show and Party. When you reserve online I know it's Pirate Night b/c it shows as a ship activity. I went in today to do something else and noticed none of the nights have the ship activity of Pirate Night listed. Has this ever happened to anyone else? In 11 cruises I don't recall this happening and we did a Halloween on the High Seas last year.

Yes. A few of days ago (about the time the new website was apparently able to be seen by many of us who prior to that hadn't been able to) our ship's activities on the the My Cruise Activities Calendar (Pirate night, as well as the Sail-away party) disappeared.

Thanks I hadn't noticed prior to this morning. I guess I'll have to go under the assumption that aren't moving the night.

I'm not saying that they aren't changing anything, just saying that they disappeared on our cruise activity schedule, also.

Hi PrincessShmoo, I didn't mean to imply you were saying they moved things. I was only commenting that I hope they don't. We may have to wait till be embark to find out for sure but I hope it's the same since we made a Palo Res. :-)

No problem, just didn't want anyone taking me to task because they thought I said things were changing. Not you.

Im glad you posted this. Same thing happened to me and I thought I was losing my mind

On our last cruise we found out at embarkation that Pirate night had been moved. They had automatically moved everyone's Palo reservation to the new Pirate night. I think they understand that people choose Palo on purpose for that night.

In most cases perhaps, but never assume. Twice when they switched pirate night on our cruises, they did not automatically move our Palo reservations, which we had booked specifically to avoid the pirate menu in the MDR. They did automatically switch BBB reservations, but we don't have kids so that didn't apply to us.

Good to know this, just in case.

This is a bummer to hear. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed this doesn't happen. We are cruising with first time Disney Cruisers and I don't want them to miss any of the MDR dinners except the Pirate Night Dinner.

Somehow when I edited for double post it removed my other post. Anyway - Just stay on top of it and keep checking with DCL and you can move your Palo reservation yourself if necessary instead of taking the chance on DCL doing it or not. It should not be a problem.
