Pirate Night Traditions?

On our last Disney cruise, our kids LOVED Pirate night. We all dressed up, had our pictures done and watched the (first) show. Didn't make it to the fireworks because the kids were too small/tired. On our next cruise, we want to go even BIGGER (as my daughter would say). What are some of your favorite things to do on Pirate Night? Any ideas as to how to make Pirate Night extra special? Thanks!

Hi,

You could decorate your stateroom door with pirate themed items. You can find Disney pirate themed door decorations on Esty. You could make your own bandanas and decorate them. Have fun on your next cruise!

I change out my door magnets for pirate themed ones on Pirate Night. You can also do the temporary tattoos. I love all the shows on Pirate Night with Mickey and friends, and then the dance party. I also enjoy the buffet at the end of the evening in Cabanas/BBB.

I love your idea of temporary tattoos! I just thought of another idea I would like to share. Glow sticks/necklaces/bracelets could also be fun for pirate night!

This is what makes it really special for me...



My favorite pirate night "tradition" is shedding the pirate hat and frock and flopping into a recliner with my wife and daughter, exhausted from dancing, running around and perhaps from a swig or two of "rum", and watching the first 30 minutes of POTC... that's usually as far as we make it before the the eyelids start to get really, really heavy! Best wind-down ever!

My daughters got the pirate makeover at the BBB. That made it extra fun for them. Wasn't just the makeup etc. they took a pirate oath and gave them pirate names.
