Pirate night question

So pirate night has officially replaced tropical night?

Will we look really strange wearing tropical clothes on another night? I just ordered matching outfits (corny- I know) for the family. Since we'll be cruising over Halloween, we'll be packing costumes-- pirates of course! pirate:

Oh well, I guess we're good to go no matter what happens.

I'm a little confused here. Remember, I'm a man LOL.

Is Pirate night on the 7 night cruises or not?

Earlier posts seem to indicate that it was only available on the 3 and 4 night cruises but these later posts seem to differ.

We've got some time and would love to plan accordingly. DS (10) is begging me as I type to watch Pirates Of The Caribbean to see how he wants to dress if it is going to be there in a couple of weeks.

It is Definately on the 7 night..

We were on the 7 night Western...

Really fun...

They (Disney World & Land) sell a Goofy bandana ear hat with earings on the ends of the ears...so cute! I think a boy is wearing it in the cruise brochure...anyway...we're dressing up for the pirate night! If you're planning on doing the parks before your cruise, hit Adventureland in the MK for the pirate gear. You can also order from disney's park mail order service pirate:

i believe it is as permanent as anything else they do, it will change in the future when they feel the need to spice it up for castaway clubbers. but it was lots of fun and we told the kids they could get the costumes at local party store, but they had to use them for halloween this year, the family pictures look great. t kind of mixed tropical with pirate, and i bought the bandanna with mickey ears, which is available on the ship. only bummer was that my parrot didn't travel well, and i couldn't really figure out how to tie him just right on my shoulder, and my musket pistol got broke in the suitcase, so it won't fire now, but they have a whole toy pirate section in mickey's mates, and in parrot cay our bandannas were black with skulls and crossbones on them.

lots of fun was had by all.

TooPure4u, we surely are going on the same cruise! Fun!

I am traveling with a group of 14. I'm even bringing my Granny this year! She's never even been out of the Wisconsin tri-state area. AND she's never been in a commercial plane before! This is going to be a great cruise. I will have to start getting my pirate outfit ready.

I'm anxious to see the new deck party that goes along with pirate night. Can anyone tell me if the characters, ie Mickey dresses up in a pirate outfit?

Thanks!:earsgirl:

dd,

mickey, minnie, goofy, chip and dale are in pirate costumes and out around the atrium starting during the first dinner seating until during the second seating.

then they are out on deck for the party.

We made a stop at the Dollar Tree and found eye patches, funny adhesive moustaches (even for the girls) and earrings. WalMart has red bandannas to tie on the head for less than a dollar. This will be fun!

Someone mentioned the menu- Would that be able to be posted?

I'm doing a Pirate themed menu for a class and would love ideas :)

Thanks -em

Are people wearing shorts on pirate night. Trying to figure out what to have my family wear. Its hard to look like a pirate in dockers.

Well, I went to a costume shop and bout a pirate set that had an eye patch and a plastic sword. DH questioned being able to get that on the plane or ship. What do you think?

Ok, Pirate luvers...

If the men wear the obligatory eye patch, swash buckle sword and bandana...

What's a girl (or Mom) to wear?? A gown as sported by Keira Knightley in PoC? Tell me it isn't so!! I want to breathe! pirate:

But there has to be something to set the genders apart!

and a plastic sword. DH questioned being able to get that on the plane or ship.

I don't think you'll have a problem with a plastic sword. My DS brought a toy wooden rifle we bought from the Indiana Jones store atr WDW right into the airport, and they tagged it and put it as checked luggage.

we checked plastic swords and a plastic gun in our baggage, only problem was that firing mechanism broke on the trip from resort to ship.

at the party store that we went to, they had three different adult costumes for women, dw bought one that came with skirt, "puffy" shirt, and vest, boot tops and hat, it was loots of fun ans the restaurant staff seemed to appreciate the effort. maybe they should turn it into a contest. but since our cruise was abbreviated and kind of weird, cruisers were off the dress code map most nights, but i wore longish shorts with my boot tops, since i didn't buy the whole costume, (i wasn't gonna wear the "puffy" shirt).
