We just got off the Magic yesterday :guilty:

Pirate Night is on the night you leave St. Maarten. I don't want to spoil your fun by giving out to much info, but they have a menu on a pirate scroll with some new themed items. The servers are dressed up in pirate costumes, and the passengers all receive bandanas to wear. The Shutters photographers are deployed to all the restaurants that night, so we had a fun shot of DS7 and the whole family. We looked a little silly, but it was fun.

Later that night, there is a deck party with a pirate them along with fireworks.

I can't wait! We bought a pirate costume for my 2 year old son. It sounds like it will be a lot of fun.

I assume this pirate night is only for the Eastern cruise not the Western?
Anything equivalent there?

Thank you!

nope its for both. We have been 1 western where they have done it. Its the same for both eastern and western.

We were on the August 2004 Western sailing and they had pirate night. It had only been in place about a month. We found it fun and knew about it ahead of time. My husband and daughter actually put together pirate outfits, patches and all and brought them with them. My husband bought a pirate head bandana in Cozumel. However, they were the only ones dressed in costume during our dinner hour! The only ones -- no one else participated at all (except for the wait staff). It was kind of disappointing because it had been talked about on the boards before we sailed. But they had great fun anyway. The deck party was a lot of fun and Mickey, Goofy and Minnie were all dressed in pirate costumes. The menu's dishes were all named after characters from Pirates of the Caribbean and were on scrolls that we got to keep. Plus they gave out bandanas to everyone. The wait staff seemed to really enjoy it, too. The dining room head servers (hosts) had very lavish costumes. My DH and DD said if they have it again on this cruise, they will bring their costumes again. I'll try to post some pics if I can get my daughter to scan them. The Mariachi band that came through the dining rooms and played was a very exciting addition and we were quite impressed that Disney arranged that. They got a huge ovation.

Then will we be having a Pirate Night on the 3 day Wonder? I did not know this. I had read the sample menus for the restaurants and really liked what they had. Will the pirate menu be much different?
