Has anyone been? Is it worth the $$$?
Not sure I would have us all go but I know DS, 5, would love it.
He and DH could make a night of it.
Thoughts?
Thanks a ton in advance.

I was just about to post some questions on this dinner show and I am interested in the Outta Control Magic Show at Wonder Works as well.

Does anyone have any reviews of either of these shows they can share? Also, if you can recommend a place to get discounted tickets, that would be great!

MHO about Pirates is that it is great for kids. As adults it is not very exciting. However, get into it, chant, shout, stomp your feet, get into the spirit of it and you WILL have fun! Arghh.. (that's an order from the Pirate Captain!!)

Food is mediocre, but I recommend getting there early for the pre-show - they hand out appetizers which are more palatable...

I would not go there as just adults, but with the kids and getting into the spirit of it, we had fun. Can't remember where we got our tickets. I searched on the internet and picked them up that day. Of course, when you get there, they try and sell you add ons such as fron't row seats (where your kids are more likely to get involved in the show).

We haven't been, but just an FYI, you can get Pirate Dinner certificates at restaurant.com 70% off with the code CRAVE right now. It makes them $6 for a $25 certificate (I think, I just glanced at it today)

My family a group of about 13 went to the outta this world magic show and we had a really good time I think its worth the money if you have kids, its really interactive, the thearter is not huge and a few family members got picked to be apart of the show, the food was pizza, salad and desert it was ok I think the tickets were around 30.00 for adults and a little less for kids.

Dh and I went to Pirates and thought at the time that kids would love it. I'm sure your son will like it. They have a lot of kids participation. I don't think it's great for just adults but if you want to show your son a good time then it would work. My husband was chosen to carry in one of the treasure chests toward the end of the show. He didn't really want to but got into the spirit of it cause there were lots of kids tagging along in pirate costumes.
A boys nite out might work for you.
