Has anyone been recently? My son would love this BUT all the reviews I can find are bad, and from years ago, so maybe it has improved?? Sorry if this has already been discussed but the search does not work for me?? Thanks!!

i would like to know about this too --- my and DD have been talking about going here for years and were actually going to do it this time

make sure you only pay about $20 and i'm not sure if it is even worth that.. food was ok, service ok, story very hard to follow.. our guy was a pirate but then a good guy and we cheered but then he was bad and the flipping on the trampoline was neat but tooo long my ds8 got very bored and what killed us .they packed us in like tune, i was sqwooshed eating nex to a huge man next to me and the back entire rows were empty and across the isle were empty,, we left early but it was ok..wouldn't do it again but wouldn't do dixie stampede either

expect some neat trampoline tricks and some rather bad acting.:duck:

we went in 2005...we all enjoyed it - it was a 'laugh' anyway.... the food wasn't bad and there was a great atmosphere...all the kids get to be involved at the end, or at least they used to be.

i think its worth visiting anyway ::yes::

The last time we went to WDW/Orlando we did the Pirates Dinner, think it was October 2006. As to the price of the tickets, yes, look for the best deal, there are tons to be had out there. The food is what you would expect for seating I think 2 shows per night with several hundred people. Wine and beer are included I think, but not great stuff. Plan to enjoy it for what it is, and you will have a good time. If you are driving there, give yourself plenty of time, International Blvd gets VERY crowded and it takes a very long time to go a short distance.

Oh, I forgot, we went before our Disney cruise, so we had our pirate gear with us and wore it to the show. It is always fun to get into things that way.

I went last Summer, so abysmal I don't know that I'll ever go back to give it a second chance.

If you're a glutton for punishment and decide to go, I agree with the previous poster, look for deals--the little tourist give-away books usually have a coupon. However, stay off I-Drive trying to get there. From Sand Lake Road, you're better off driving a block over to Universal Blvd., then turning on Carrier Dr. from there. I-Drive traffic is just insane.

We went just last week and had a blast! DS12 and DD9 thoroughly enjoyed it. There is something constantly going on to entertain, audience participation, etc. If you get into the spirit of the show (cheering on your pirate, booing the enemy), you will enjoy it more than just sitting there waiting to be dazzled. The food was OK, nothing special. Look around for the best coupons to save a buck or two.

My sister's family went to this show last year and said while the show was great, the food was horrible.
Her advice when I asked about it was to find half off coupons and be prepared to go out for pizza or something like that afterwards.

DH, DBIL and I did it OCT 2007, the food was TERRIBLE, the show was ok, kind of hard to follow. I made the mistake of buying the VIP seats which included a special buffet before the show and a visit with the snake lady, TOTAL waste of money!! We've done it once and won't return, you don't know until you try it!
