We're taking my daughter for her 13th birthday (this will be our first time) and she loves anything that has to do with pirates. I would love to take her to get one of those pirate desserts that I've seen. She'd rather have that than a birthday cake. I see that the Blue Bayou has some. Anywhere else? If Blue Bayou is the only choice, can we go just for dessert?

Thanks!!
Brigitte

Yes you can just go for dessert and I believe they are the only place that has those!

Ok I've apparently missed something HUGE. A pirate dessert. Shoot. We haven't been to the Blue Bayou in a LONG time because Ds3 is well um, lets just say he might destroy the atmosphere and jump in the water and try to get on a boat. Dd6 always asks if the people are real "over there" because we haven't attempted this with Ds and she doesn't remember going when she was smaller.

I would love to see a picture of this dessert. Then maybe I can bribe Ds to behave so we can eat there!

The Flying Dutchman Cookie Boat looks awesome!

There are pictures in the sticky thread "My Disneyland dining reviews, with pictures"

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1253888

There seem to be three:

Tortuga Trio of Creme Brulee - chocolate, passion fruit and vanilla-bean custards, caramelized and served with Brittany cookies $7.99

The Key West, Key Lime - Flaky crust filled with tangy key-lime citrus creme $7.99

The Flying Dutchman Cookie Boat - Warm chocolate chip cookie boat, served with Dreyer's vanilla bean ice cream, caramel and chocolate sauce $8.99

Anyone ever had these?

I know what I'm ordering now when we are there next month! I haven't been to the BB since having kids (our oldest will be 9 in April!) but we have ressies on Feb 19! I can't wait! Thanks for the link.

No problem!! I myself haven't been there in YEARS. I was thinking of maybe booking a lunch for our April trip since I'll have newbies with me! Hope you have a great meal there!
