Does the Pirate Deck Party include the nighttime buffet?

We were on the Dream last month. The buffet was at Cabanas. But We thought it strange they had it during the pirate party. We went after and they were closing it up. We were able to get some food. They closed it up about 15 min after the pirate party ended

When I was on the Fantasy in 2015 the feeding frenzy started right after the fireworks.

I did not bother to see if they were holding the feeding frenzy on the Magic this year. Way too much insanity over food for me - especially when it's not like you haven't JUST eaten.

We have only done it once as our now 4 year old is usually knocked out by the time the fireworks roll around

We did once after the pirate party - it opened up just after the party ended. We had just eaten but didn't have dessert so that we could have the crepes with chocolate at the buffet. We haven't done it since and I'm not sure if they always have it or not. There was a huge lineup and it was really crowded but moved reasonably well and we still found a place to sit.

We did it partially just so that we could see how it was decorated all pirate-y and take pictures.

For us, there was the pirate show with Jack Sparrow, followed immediately by the fireworks, and then, as the "Pirate Dance Party" was just beginning, the Pirate buffet opened in Cabanas, so if we had stayed for the Dance party, we would have missed the buffet. All of this is stated in the Navigator, but it would have been easy to be carried away with the Pirate festivities and missed the buffet all together.

Is there any particular attire for the pirate party?

Been to a number of the pirate parties...love them all. Agree that the food is presented too soon after you eat (and we have early seating), but you have to see how creative the DCL folks aaaar with a knife and a watermelon. Very cool decorations around the buffet...leave the dance party early and bring your camera.
