We are going to disney for DS 4th birthday in december (his third trip) and finally, after many trips and wishing , we are staying at the GF! (I'm hoping a monorail resort will make it easier with DS4 adn DS 18 mos. I've booked the pirate cruise for my 4yo DS on his birthday. He is a very outgoing land independent little boy, but he will just meet the age requirement and I'm concerned it might be too much for him and he won't want to go without his dad or I. I'm hoping to use his cruise time to go back and "help" Mickey decorate our room for his birthday. ;) Also, has anyone ever tried to get a birthday cake set up for the pirate cruise - I thought it would be neat for him to have a cake to share at lunch with his fellow pirates. pirate:

I would love to hear what everyone says too! I am going to do this in October, my son will be 4.

My DS went in April right after he turned 5. He is also very independent/outgoing and had no problems. He goes to daycare on a daily basis so he is used to be separated from me and DH.

As for the cake, I don't think that will work. I think the kids only get their lunch on the ride back to the GF because when my DS got off the boat he was still eating (he actually had most of his stuff left to eat).
