Pirate Cruise vs. Albatross Cruise?

We have DD booked for the Pirate Cruise at the GF, and now I'm wondering if we should try to get the Albatross Cruise at the BC instead? The reason is mainly me - I have to hang around and wait for her so I'd rather explore the Boardwalk than the GF (she has 3 activities booked there, so there will be plenty of time for that!).

Anyone's kids done the Albatross Cruise? I curious to know if it's as nice, as fun, etc. I've never been to WDW, so I can't even compare Seven Seas Lagoon to Crescent Lake.

TIA for any thoughts! :)

Thats the same reason I chose the Albatross cruise for my DD6.. :teeth:

My dd has several things already booked for the GF....princess tea party...park fare...wonderland tea party....So Iam sure we will get plenty of oppurtunity to explore the GF. As we are on the monorail the first week ...CR...GF seemed a good place for activities .

But our second week is off site in a condo...so I thought do I really want to go back to the GF again.. :teeth: Or shall we try this albatross cruise.

Well albatross it is...so mummy dadddy and DS can explore the Yacht/beach club area...for the first time! :wizard:

Iam sure both cruises are great...the albatroiss actually goes into Epcot I think before it opens...and the kids explore a country for clues. :cheer2:

Cool! I think I may call today and see if it's available. Maybe I'll even keep the Pirate Cruise and cancel Adventures in Cooking instead...

See - this is what happens when a planner runs out of planning to do! :teeth:

My kids did the pirate cruise and adventures in cooking last summer. They liked them both. I think my almost 9 year old felt a little uncomfortable about being one of the older kids, but she ended up having a great time. This year I signed them up for the albatross cruise and the sasgagoula (?) river cruise. They were upset that they wouldn't get to do adventures in cooking again so they agreed to pay for that one on their own. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the activities.

My two boys have done both and had fun on each one. Older DS7 thought the pirate cruise from the Grand Floridian was more fun but could not say why. There were definatly more kids on the GF cruise. The cruise from the BC was a smaller boat. They went to several of the hotels, then into Epcot. They ended up with the boat on the beach at the BC where they ate lunch then rode around in the boat before coming back.

I know at GF they get the cute pirate mickey ears........do they get that at the one from the BC??

In January at the BC they just got a bandana. DS4 was disappointed as he really wanted the pirate Mickey ears.
