I was just reading about the new Pirate Cruise that leaves from the YC/BC. We're staying at the Boardwalk in May. Our son turns 4 later this month.

Does anyone have any experiences they want to share regarding their 4yo on one of these cruises? Our son has never been in day care, but he's been doing preschool 2x per week this year. He also does things like the play area at the grocery store and so forth. We've never had any problems with separation anxiety(?)...no crying, screaming, etc. I guess it's just a bit of fear of the unknown on my part.

Any problems with interactions with the older kids?

My gut says he'll love it...he's in something of a pirate phase anyway. :)

Thanks!

My ds was just turning four on our trip last summer. He loved the Pirate Cruise. He hadn't been in daycare (was just getting ready to start pre-K) but does have two sisters close in age. I don't think it matters because there were plenty of 4 year olds there without brothers or sisters. They all seemed to have a wonderful time. It was one of the highlights of my ds's trip and he can't wait to do it this summer too.

Can you tell me more about the new Pirate Cruise that leaves from the YC/BC. This is the first time I've heard about it. Is there someone I can contact to find out more information?
We are DVC members and will be staying at the Boardwalk this October.
Any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Reservations are done through the Disney Dining line. I tried to call DVC Member Services and was told they could not book it.

The cruise only accommodates 10 children and is only scheduled to run once a week. Needless to say I couldn't get my son on the cruise for our May trip as it was already booked. I'm really disappointed in Disney over this one. With all of the resorts right there in the BC/YC area the demand is CERTAIN to exceed 10 per week.

So, unless they expand the schedule, you probably want to mark your calendar to call 90 days out.

BTW, thanks for your feedback, DisneyMomx7. Looks like we'll probably be waiting until DS is 5 to give this a shot.
