I was finally able to book it for my son. He is so excited. Now I know how the CRT people feel when they finally get in there! Just one question, I was looking at the GF map, but wasn't sure if the cruise starts somewhere in the Marina or the boat dock. Does anyone know? We'll be at the Poly so I'm sure it will be easy to get there.

It leaves from the Captain Shipyard marina

When did you book for? I have my sons (age 6) booked for the 27th of October, although they have no idea it's a surprise, well the whole trip is a surprise actually!

We're booked for September 1. I've been calling on and off for a few weeks and today there was an opening. Pixie dust is flying as I was able to rebook my flights on SWA and take my daughter with us for only $23 more than what I originally spent. It's just a quick, cheap trip to finish up our AP's but I thought this would be something special for my son.

Please post abt it when you return! I've got my dd booked for the end of Sept.

Sounds fun for the kids!

The first time I took my children over to the GF for the PC it seemed like we walked all over the property before we found where they were supposed to meet! When you arrive at the GF, go through the lobby to the back, continue to the left to a round mini-lobby (there will be a DVC desk, and entrance to one of the restaurants). Go out those doors, either on the sidewalk or stay on the "porch", follow around to the left staying close to the main building until you get to an outdoor patio area (this is where their snack bar is located). Anyway to your right is the marina. It's a u-shape. You will meet down on the right side of the "u". You'll probably see some pontoon-style boats there. There is a small building where you will check them in and pay. They will love it!:)

Does anyone know approximately how long it will take to get there from CSR? I am thinking I should give at least an hour travel time but I want to make sure this is enough.

Yes and PLEASE post how it went when you get back!

Thanks!

we left the WL at 8:00, drove to the TTC and promptly waited about 30 minutes for the monorail!!! We ended up getting to the Marina about 9:20...

If you are driving, drive directly to the GF. If you use Disney transportation I would leave at 7:30. Better to be very early than late (besides the GF is nice to walk around)

Although if your child does miss the boat, they will take the child to the first stop to join the cruise. That happened to a little boy who missed the cruise my son was on.

Your kids will love it!! My Daughter has done this once and is wanting to do it again!!!
