Hi,
My mom made my son an incredible Jack Sparrow costume for Holloween, I mean just fabulous... Now my sister says that it would be a shame that he only wears it once and was wondering if there would be an appropriate place to wear it at Disney, we are going the first 2 weeks of Jan...(I know just missing the Pirate and Princess party)... My mom also made a very nice Aurora dress for my daughter. Should I bring them to Disney... what would you do? :confused3

I'm bringing a pirate and a Peter Pan costume for my son. Boys like to dress up, too, so I'm going to bring them. Why not bring it?

My DS wore his pirate outfit to the princess breakfast in the castle on his (and his twin sister's) 5th birthday. The princesses made a big fuss over him, and Captain Hook and Alladin did, too, on the way into the park (awesome photos). He also wore his Jack Sparrow costume (last years Halloween outfit) this past winter to the character breakfast on the Disney Magic. It made for some nice pictures, though it'll probably be the last time for him, he'll be 9 soon. He did wear a pirate tee shirt and bandana, earring, tattoo, etc, to Pirate Night. In fact, we all did, it was a lot of fun! pirate: DD would dress up anytime given the chance. She made a cute Tinkerbell on the cruise also, but at other times will wear her Disney tees which the princesses and characters always love. So make sure your kids wear lots of Disney tees, too, to the parks.

Hey, it's Disney, it's meant to be fun!! :tinker:

He can wear it to a character meal. Id also let him wear it to MK for a day. It will be cool enough in Jan to not roast in a costume. That being said, if its a warm weather costume, it might not be warm enough!

My DGS wore his Power Ranger costume almost all day when we went to the Studios. I asked if he wanted to take it off after we met the PR but he didn't so I let him stay in it. He got lots of cute comments from other guests. Go for it.
