My son will be turning 6 early July and we will be celebrating at the end of June (before school mates leave on Holidays). Usually we go somewhere for his birthday party, but as we have a Huge Disney Land and Sea Vacation coming up and other things that have come up, I thought we should tone down the spending this time around BUT still do something FUN!
He LOVES Pirates, so I would like to organize a Pirate Party for him.
We'll have his guests come dressed as Pirates (even just a T-shirt and jeans and bandanna if no one has an whole costume).
I'll make up some kind of Pirate Paty Invitation. We'll make some treasure maps that will lead them to the nearby park where they'll have to dig for treasure (chocolate gold coins and fancy marbles in zip lock bags buried in the park sand). Beyond that, what else can I do to keep some energetic 5 and 6 year old boys entertained? Any ideas will be truly appreciated. Oh, does anyone have pirate bag topper graphics? I'll use plain brown paper lunch bags but add a topper to them. What kind of loot for the loot bags to keep it Pirate Themed?
