I have just read on another forum that the parties have all been cancelled.:confused3 Does anyone have any info?

Nope...I've just seen it on Twitter. I Can only assume that it's due to poor ticket sales. Personally I don't like these separate hard ticket events...this used to be the 'norm' for DLP!
I feel sorry for anyone who booked especially for this...and I'm rather glad my sensible wife talked me out of taking the boys on a quick trip just for this!

We were going anyway but I had booked tickets for the first party and my girls are so disappointed.:sad1: I am going to email and complain.

My two boys would be beside themselves if we had booked! You really should complain

I have the email all written. I am just waiting to see how long it takes them to officially tell me it is cancelled before I send it:confused3

Guess who finally talked her boyfriend into going less than 48 hours ago? :headache:

At least we hadn't booked travel yet.

Oh no, that's rubbish!!!

The party was on the day we travel home so we couldn't have gone but I thought that they sounded wonderful and I would definitely have bought tickets if it was on when we were still there.

Really sorry for those who were looking forward to going :grouphug:

:confused3 I was in City Hall on Tuesday and they were still advertising them then, so it has been a very recent decision.

too bad- I went to it a few years ago her in the states- best party EVER! Nighttastic fireworks were the best! They did bring back the Nighttastic fireworks show last summer. I wish they would bring the Pirate and Princess Party back here- it hasn't been in a few years.

That's annoying. We were there anyway but had booked. Luckily we hadn't told our daughters we were going or they would have been devastated. Would have been nice for disney to contact us.

I am just so angry. My girls are really upset, they had all chosen new outfits to wear to the party and we were really looking forward to meeting all the characters that had been advertised while the park was slightly quieter. Some of the characters like Jac and Gus, Tinkerbell and the seven dwarves are not normally found in the parks either:confused3. To make it worse Tinkerbell is my middle daughters absolute favourite and I have now had to tell her that she won't be able to meet her this time. :sad1:

I now feel like I need to book a princess lunch to get some good princess interaction but feel very loathed to give DLP more of my money because they have cancelled an event we were all really excited about.:sad2: Also two of my daughters had chosen princess minnie and rapunzel as their new outfits and we won't see either of those at the auberge:confused3

Sorry rant over now. Jo

On Disneyland Paris - French facebook page - they say it's due to the work taking place in Fantasyland that has suffered delays and won't be finished in time ....that's the official line coming from Marilyne -Community Manager at Disneyland Paris

This only came as a reply due to a member of DCP asking about it.

Couldn't see anything on the English version as yet, nor an official annoncement on FB

Can I please encourage everyone to write/email DLP to express their disappointment? I don't think this is fair at all. My (adult) daughter and I had booked for 17th June (see ticker below!!) leaving home on that day and returning the next day expressly to attend the P&P party. We as adults are terribly disappointed and I dread to think how many children across Europe are heartbroken not to be going to meet their favourite (otherwise never seen in the parks) character such as Tinkerbell. How many costumes have been bought especially for this party, how many hotels, train/plane tickets booked etc? Our Eurostar tickets are not refundable and we'd bought 1-day, 1-park tickets costing £48 each which are also not refundable. I don't believe for a moment the official line that it's because Fantasyland refurbishment works won't be finished in time - surely they should have been able to work that out? It's purely a financial consideration but they don't give a damn about other people losing money. I'm absolutely furious. Please, all those affected, let DLP know how you feel!

I'm actually in the process of typing an e-mail right now.

I am not buying that excuse either, and even boyfriend just said: "It's still some weeks to go. Why don't they speed the construction work up instead of cancelling the whole thing?"

Any e-mail address you'd recommend to use?

The ones on DCP aren't buying that either and the CM's that work in ticketing are saying that's more likely due to the fact that the sales are very disapointing so DLP are cutting short their loss ..... People have been phoning and have been told to send their tickets and a RIB to "Disneyland Paris Communication visiteurs" for a refund so you could always send a mail off there

dlp.communication.visiteurs@disney.com

Good luck, I hope you get a full refund on travel and hotel costs seeing as they are not refundable and none of this is your fault

E-Mail sent, to both addresses.

We can cancel our hotel and haven't booked travel yet (boyfriend was toying with driving), but that doesn't mean I am not going to kick up a fuzz. I was actually looking forward to this "like a 3 year old" according to boyfriend.

Yeah I'm 3 in my head too! :rotfl2: Love your avatar - very appropriate just now! ;)

I totally feel for you I am so glad I didn't tell my 5 year old as she would have been so upset  We had tinkerbell dresses ready as a suprise though as you don't normally see her other times.

We were going on 1st June to the party and had always planned to be in disney that week as its half term you must be absolutely fuming having planned a special trip.

Me too made sure it was appropriately dramatic and annoyed. Not happy they have had my money for months and had to find out it was cancelled through the internet.
