I'm thinking about booking one of the Pirate Adventure Cruises for our kids.

1. It's only 2 hours long, but is there anywhere for the kids to use the bathroom?
I guess it's more a concern of mine than for the kids. I always like to know where a bathroom is

2. I'm leaning toward the cruise from the Yacht Club. Is there anything to occupy myself with during those 2 hours that isn't spa related?

I booked this as a surprise for my daughter for this coming October. We have never done it, either. I don't believe there is bathroom access. They will be on a boat for a good chunk of the time. It does sound really fun. We are doing the YC one as well. We plan to walk around by Boardwalk and just explore the resorts.

My grandsons did this a few years back, out of the Yacht Club. They loved it. One of their best experiences on that trip.

No bathrooms on the boat for the kids. Adults do not go along. Bathrooms are at any of the nearby resorts and restaurants. While the kids were gone, my daughter headed over to the Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club for the breakfast buffet. Excellent! I'm almost positive that that that restaurant is closed for refurbishment until fall.

Alternate locations here..

This was fantastic. The cast members for this were incredible when we went in March this year.

No bathrooms onboard, no one had issues; we had two tries before they got on.

We've done this one at yacht/beach and also the one at GF. The kids liked both, but the one at Y/B was the winner. Cast member acting was great!

As for us, we booked a breakfast, ate without rushing and then sat on rocking chairs outside and read after taking a stroll. Would do this if alone, too. We did this at GF, too, minus rocking chairs- sat in the atrium.

My kids both loved it. On the most recent one there was a mix of near both the youngest and oldest age range.

DS did the one that left from the GF back in 2015. It's a pontoon boat, so yes, no bathrooms as others have noted. DS said they made a stop at CR and got off to have a snack. Presumably they could have had a potty break then too but not sure?

I'm glad others had positive experiences above. I have to admit, ours wasn't that great. I mostly blame DS (he was tired/overstimulated after a long trip, it was 1000 degrees, and he just wasn't into it) but the CM we met at the dock wasn't all that into it either. Like a lot of these things the CMs either make or break an experience. Obviously since I wasn't on the boat that's not a totally fair assessment on my part, just judging from what we saw during the departure/arrival experience at the dock.

At the time DS told us he never wanted to do it again. Ironically enough, when we were there earlier this month he randomly said he'd like to do it again "because he's older now and thinks he'd like it better." Kids. :confused3

Have fun!

Having done GF and Yacht, I can say that the CM experience was completely different. The GF was speaking as if on a script and not into it. Yacht CM was awesome- running around the dock, shouting pirate-like things with the other CM, it was GREAT.

That said, our kids also really liked the GF one, even with the lackluster CM.

My DS9 has done the GF one once and the YC one multiple times. He definitely prefers the YC cruise. As others have said, the adventure is on a pontoon boat (though they take a little excursion to the Canada pavilion in EP), so no bathroom on board.

For things to do nearby, you could have breakfast at one of the EP resorts (Capt. Grille would be closest) and stroll around the Boardwalk or, if you have park tickets, you could venture into EP for a little bit. I personally love walking into EP and having breakfast in the France pavilion and taking a little stroll.

That's funny. Yes, kids!!!

When can you book this? Is this the same as ADRs, 180s in advance? And do you pre-pay?

We're staying at the BC in November and this looks like a great activity! Thanks for posting about it!

My kids have done this twice and loved it. My husband enjoyed a relaxing breakfast no stroller round the Contemporary this last one.
I'm so upset they cancelled our September one - apparently they changed the schedule two months out and gave up Tuesdays from wherever they were scheduled (POR? CBR? I don't recall).
As others have said no bathrooms. which worried me because my older son has bladder issues. But he made it through both cruises with no issues.
