Anyone know if its open at the moment-if so is it likely to stay open now through Christmas?

Me too but not holding my breath. You would think with the renewed interest in Pirates these days they would keep it open year round, I never understood them closing it as the menu was different than most everywhere else in the park.

We got to Disney three or four times throughout the year and I don't think I have ever seen that place open. Makes you wonder when you see the lines at some of the other TS places in the park

It was open on some days of our stay last week. Even though they say open seasonally, it seems to us that they are open pretty much whenever they think the park is at a higher capacity-- whether or not it is high season or not. For example, the park last Wed seemed very uncrowded and El Pirata was not open, but on Thurs the park definitely had more people and they looked like they were setting up to open. They were definitely open another day during our stay as well, but I can't recall which day it was. It's really luck of the draw if you'll be there when they are open.
