So sorry to hear the antibiotics arent helping. Prayers for Piper and you. Here's hoping if she's admitted it's a short stay.
I'll update tomorrow at some point once I know what's going on.
I'm sending good vibes for you and Piper!
The visual of you scooping away the snow makes me giggle.![]()

Please do! I hate hearing that kids are sick at Cmas, and Piper's kind of sick is even more worrisome.
i will be praying for piper. i hope she feels better soon!
if you can get to 1900 early at 4:30 to see the little ceremony they do. it was really cute. if i remember right, erica and i had an ADR at a similar time as you but we were there when they opened the place and when they open the doors cinderella is standing there. they pick one little girl to go in first. it was adorable.
I'm praying for you and Piper..I hope she is on the mend quickly.
You and Piper are both in my prayers. I hope she is feeling better soon and the Drs have some good meds for her.
Dang it girl, that ws not what I wanted to hear just getting back to the boads. I will say prayers for you and for Pipers as soon as I get my butt in the bed. I though about you and piper this past week and really just cannot wait for her trip. Ours was amazing and I know Piper is going to have a blast!!! Please keep me posted. Hang in there, thinking of you both!!![]()
This wasn't what I wanted to start my week off with! Amanda, I'm so sorry! I do pray that she will be strong and able to fight this off, and that the Docs. would have wisdom and skill!
So sad to see Piper sick at Christmas. I'm praying for a quick recovery. Hugs to both of you!![]()
My thoughts, prayers and love are with you and Piper.I'm so sorry to hear that Piper isn't feeling to good so close to Christmas, but this is the time of miracles.
So my prayer is and will always be that miracles come and follow you two everywhere you go.
Amanda, let us know how we can be of further help as good progress takes place in Piper's health. Blessings, peace and strength to you both.
I'll PM you here in a bit with some info. for you.

We would start with AK..it's only open until 5, where DHS is open until 8, I think. If she wanted to we could always spend until 3 or 4 at AK, then hit DHS and hit the highlights, I think. And with that, I'm off to bed!
Snow..and more snow..and more snow..it started snowing here at about 3pm yesterday, and is still snowing as I type this. So far we have about 12 inches..Piper has never seen this much snow and is just itching to get out into it! My favorite is watching the bird feeder..the birds just stand out so much in all the white.

Poor Jeepie...I'll have to sweep him off later.

It's not how I'd like to be spending my holiday...wearing shorts...![]()
It was 7 the past two mornings when I woke up....it is a balmy 23 right now.

Piper's symptoms have all come back and actually gotten worse yesterday and today, she's running a fever again, requiring a lot of O2 and was vomiting mucus today. It would appear that the oral antibiotics were enough to knock things back for a while, but not enough to wipe anything out.I'll be calling her Drs back in the morning to see if we can start IVs at home or if she needs to go in. If she needs to be admitted I'm going to try to make arrangements for her to go to Roanoke, be discharged Thurs and check back in Sat either there or at UVa..they will prob prefer UVa (as would I) so maybe we can figure out why she's having so many problems suddenly. Thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.
On a lighter note..I have discovered the mixing bowl method of snow removal..I wish Piper took good pictures, because I'm sure I looked hilarious "scooping" out a path to the Jeep and scooping out some of the snow behind the rear wheels (It was taller than they were!) so I could throw it into 4wd and move it into the bare spot. Needless to say, when we go to town tomorrow I'll be buying a snow shovel if there are any to be had!
I was able to get a 4:40 ADR at 1900, hopefully that will help a bit with the rushing situation.
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about Piper...glad to read a few posts above that the fever is gone though. You are both in my prayers!
Very sorry to hear about Piper...happy her fever is gone though..that is a good sign
I had a laugh about your bowl as snow removal...I must admit that when we had our first snow this year my shovels were in my shed in the backyard. In order to make a path on my deck so my dog (he is a minature pinscher so quite small) could go out I used a plate! It did the trick and of course the shovels are now in their proper place on my deck!
