Do you think it is possible to recapture any of that exciting pioneering feeling that we early DVC buyers had when we purchased at OKW (The Vacation Club Resort)?

Can a purchase at SSR with its new 50 year membership and its aggressive building plan give any of that feeling back? If you think it can, I bet a lot of us "oldies" would jump in in a minute!

with its smaller room and higher points costs - no I don't think so - I also own a small amount of points at VWl and BWV - so when I need a change no problem.

besides most of my family is very devoted to OKW and they don't like to stay elsewhere. which is great when I go visit VWL or BWV I generally get to go solo!!!!

I was thinking that the remnants of the Disney Institute and its wonderful campus might make give SSR a real downtown, small town. sense of community apart from its location inside WDW.

I think you are right, tvwalsh! Kind of the best of both worlds...On-site and off-site feel all at the same time. That is how I view OKW too, but the real lure there is the low points and large home type acommodations.

BTW, I see we will be at OKW the same time in January! OOPS, maybe not! Got the "1" misplaced!

I could get on board that feeling!........we just joined in August;)
WAGONS HO!!
LOL!:D
