I am leaving for WDW in 4 days :yay: and while I was packing I can across a problem. Where do you put the pins you are going to trade at? :confused3 Will the airlines let you put them in your carryon? :confused3 If I put them in my checked luggage I will not be able to get to them because of the Magical Express handles the luggage. I was planning on going to the park after we checked in. Do I have to wait around for my luggage to be brought from the airport to be able to get to my pins? Last year when we went I was able to take them with me on my carryon with no problem, but with all the rule changes I don't know:confused3 Can soneone please help me? What do you do with your pins?

I had the same worries last month. I had no trouble with them in my carry-on. I did keep them in a seperate ziploc bag, and had it in the bin by itself while going through security.

Pins are no problem. Now if you have 3.31 oz of shampoo you will have a real problem.

We always carry our pins on. Sometimes they check them. Sometimes they don't.

We ALWAYS carry our pins on board. When we go to WDW, we usually bring thousands of pins in 2 rolling backpacks. We always allow plenty of time to go through security and they ALWAYS go through all of our pin bags very carefully (including all pockets) in Baltimore. It blows my mind that when we fly back home, the Orlando security people just wave us right through with no checks at all :scared: (Even when we flew last year on September 11th!!)

we did not carry ours we put them with our clothes 2 pin bags and they were fine but u can also carry with you no problems ...:cool1:

I carry them with me. Plan on putting them in a separate ziploc and taking them out of your carryon to go through the scanner. The screener here explained it to me after I mentioned that I'd been pulled aside several times for my pins. The pins are metal, which means the machine can't see through them, which means that you're more likely to be pulled aside to have your bag gone over and swabbed for explosives. Now, all of that usually takes us about 2 minutes, but he said that taking the baggie of pins out and running it through separately would avoid the problem of having to go through the whole bag.

I have also sent them through in my checked bags, but I admit that that gave me the willies and I tend to keep them with me as I would any other valuable.

HTH!

I just got back and i had my pins in a book in my carry on. They looked at every page that was about it.
