Hi,
Can anyone tell me about the procedure for boarding airlines with pins?
We're going to WDW in Dec. and want to avoid any problems.
I assume it would be best to put them into our baggage. Any ideas?

I have a pin backpack from WDW. I opened all the zippered compartments, and put it along with the lanyards I was wearing in the containers that people put their laptops in. That way it was ready for the inevitable inspection...no problem. The inspector did swab it for explosives, look at each page (8 pages), but it only took about 90 seconds. In Austin, if you get a bag check you also get a "wand" and shoe check, but that didn't take long either...sure beats havin' ta' check my pin bag...which I've dutifully been doing since mid September...hope this helps!!!!

Thanks suzanneb,
I wasn't sure whether to try to take it cary on. Or just pack it in ou lugage. Didn't want to find out that they wouldn't allow it on the plane and have them confiscated. Thanks.

Thankfully, we haven't heard about any pins or pin bags being confiscated or not allowed on the plane. If it had happened, I know we would've heard about it on here. A bit of a comfort, actually, since Lauri's flying to WDW for the pin event on Friday.
