Pins & boys

I have two DS boys 8 & 3, neither really collect anything, excepts legos and Hot wheels. I thought the pins would add to the experience of Disney since we bought a DVC membership and will be going at least yearly. Does anyone have experience with boys those ages and pin collecting?

My boys are 9 and 5, and we've been trading with them since they were 7 and 3, the little one is just now REALLY into it, but my older son LOVES it. He's not a big ride person, and this really entertains him at the park, it's something him and I enjoy doing together. There are definitely plenty of boy pins out there, stitch, toy story, pirates, etc. And they are so proud of their lanyards!

Definitely a must tho, is locking pin backs! Check out the thread about them, and get the ebay ones from seller "disneypatriot" they are simple enough for both my boys to operate, but keeps our pins safe from getting lost throughout the park, after losing 2 or 3 pins, we switched only to the locking backs, and haven't lost any since.
