Pins and codes and discounts oh my!...

Has anyone ever received a pin/code or whatever who hadn't already taken a Disney vacation? This will be our first trip and so I kind of was thinking of codes and pins in "bounce back" terms but after reading I'm obviously wrong about that. Is there any chance I might get one??

There are a few threads with suggestions on how to get one. However, it really is the luck of the draw. You can and should request a vacation planing dvd, price a vacation and leave it in your cart, and create a profile on the disney web site. Good luck and have fun! Ordered my DVD today and created DH an acct and we ordered the maps a few weeks ago. I often have different trips in my cart and I made one random ADR that I plan to cancel tonight! .....crossing my fingers!!!!

I was wondering this myself. It seems like only people that have visited before are getting the PIN codes. But someone else in another thread said that, while it may be the case for the first batch of PINs, the next batch may hold different criteria. Fingers crossed that this is true, because I would love some Free Dining for 08/25 - 08/31. Still waiting...waiting still...

When are you going? Although the last batch of discounts mentioned something like, since you have been before, but people who have never been actually received them so anything is possible. Some people on here are also thinking this will come out to the public in July or August, so if that happens, you can use it. No requirements for having to have been there before has ever been connected to any discount other than a bounceback.

We did!

Last year we got a PIN code for 10% off our room rate before we went.

Granted its not much...but at least I know I was 'in the system'.

We also ordered the planning DVD and made mock ups of trips on the website.
