Pinot Grigio?

I have friends coming over Sunday and they like Pinot Grigio. I am not fond of PG's so could anyone please give me a few suggestions for a decent bottle of wine.

How about Sauvignon Blanc? Our "house" wine is Brancott and it's very yummy, fruity but not overly sweet, and inexpensive. You could also try Vhino Verde, it's a lightly sparkling wine from Portugal that is very refreshing on a warm day/night.

My pick these days is Santa Margartia. I love it, it's very smooth.

Trader Joe's has a great Honey Moon Viognier that I will sometimes have instead of Pinot Grigio. I really Pinot Grigios for their sweetness (but not too sweet) and I like white wines, chilled.

I like a Pinot Grigio once in a while and Santa Margherita is decent. Its trendy and the standard Italian PG. St. Michael Eppan Pinot Grigio is very nice and is about $12-20. I also like Banfi and they have different prices depending on the year but you should be able to get it for $15 a bottle.

I like Yellow Tail Pinot Grigio. It's inexpensive, but pretty good.

Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio is nice.

That's funny-we just had a bottle with dinner! There are supposedly 2 regions in Italy that produce the best Pino Grigio - one of them is Valdadige and I can't think of the other. I used to buy Santa Margharita (sp?) all the time but they've gone up in price and I"ve found some others that are better for less $$. Go to a local wine store with a good selection and ask for advice - their prices shouldn't be any worse than the local grocery store and their selection should be much better. Expect to pay maybe $10-15 for a reasonably priced one and serve it chilled!
