Hi - fairly new to these boards (veteran WDW, but not been to DL in 15 years)... DH and I just booked our DL trip in October. We are staying off property at Hyatt OC since DH works for them and it's free. :cool1:

Question: DH and I would like to have a small amount of time for a date/private time and usually use the Camp Hyatt clubs at Hyatt... but there isn't one at OC. Can we use the Pinocchio Workshop if we eat at one of the restaurants at that GC? (We've done this at WDW but rules all seem to be different.) DS is 5 BTW.

Thanks everyone!

Pinochio's Workshop is available to all onsite guests. It's is not available to anyone else. Sorry.

At the GCH and Napa Rose the DLR's version of V&A children are welcome. If you are really hoping for a quiet dinner alone, remember you can get those on the cruise while the child is in the kids clubs.

Yeah, it's more that I need a small amount of downtime to keep my sanity or else I'll be the one having the meltdown.

Check out http://urbansitter.com where you can see sitters in the Anaheim area (I just checked, there are 28 that are signed up) and see their profiles, references etc.

I believe Kids Night Out, which is really common in Orlando, also has an Anaheim branch. I haven't used them, but I know people who have (in WDW) and think they are fabulous. So that might be worth checking out.
Can't remember if it is Kid's Night Out, Kids Nite Out, or whatever, but some variation on that.

I understand when this can come into play.

Go to Tom Sawyers Island, Donalds Boat or Goofy's House in Toon Town, in DL. In DCA Redwood Creek Challenege Trail. Or the splash play areas. Set some limits like " don't go past this point where I'll be" near the exit. If in DCA if conditions warrant grab a cold drink to go from various carts or bars to enjoy while the kids run and climb buring off energy.
