Curious if anyone has any recent experiences with their kids staying in Pinocchio's Workshop at GCH? I'd love to hear how it went.

Our girls, ages 8 and 12, and have enjoyed staying at kids clubs at DW for a couple of hours while DH and I hit the parks by ourselves. We'd love to get a little break while at DL as well.

Thanks in advance for sharing!

hey carrie,

now what i saw may be different because it was a couple years ago but we planned on taking my niece there for one night so we could do dinner as she was small but when we got over there, i didnt think there was alot of activities to do..it was a very small room and not alot of kids were there either so after looking around for a couple of minutes we nixed that idea and took her with us....like i said, it could have changed but its not something I would take them too..especially with the ages you said the girls were..my niece at the time was 5....

We used it a year ago when our kids were 6 and 10. We also plan on using it during our trip in Sep when our kids will be 7 and 11. Personally our kids loved it!

There were art projects for my youngest (a girl) that she loved, as well as movies going on and board games. My oldest (a boy) played video and computer games pretty much the whole time (hey, they are on vacation:)

We left them from 5 to about 8 and we paid for the optional hot dinner ($5 each and there were a cpl options). They also walk them up to the roof top viewing area for the WOC shows which I thought was neat.

There wasn't a ton of options for little kids for things to do, and if your kids arent into the things I mentioned then they might be bored. My kids asked to go back when we were just there but we didn't need to use it. Next time though! We are determined to go to Napa Rose!

Thanks so much for the replies!

Yes, they love crafts and video games. When they were at the Sandcastle Club at the BC last June, my oldest brought her ipod with our permission and theirs and did the funny faces app with the CMs there and sort of turned it into an "activity" LOL!

They like to try new experiences and our oldest fully understands that DH and I like some adult time, so she has a good attitude about staying at the clubs. They went one night and the next night when we said we were going to EPCOT, they asked if they could go back to the club again instead!

mom2aidanNpiper, I'm glad your kids liked it.:thumbsup2

disneegrl4eva, I'm sorry it didn't work out for you and your niece, but good for you on listening to your gut and not leaving her there. Awesome decision!

My friends boys (5 and 6) were just there over the weekend. It included a "field trip" to the concierge lounge to watch the fireworks. I guess her boys loved it and didn't want to leave.

My girls were in there earlier this year, while we went to a business dinner. They enjoyed the time and the fact that they got to pick their meal, as well as the field trip to the concierge lounge for fireworks. They also brought home a goodie bag of coloring pages and a couple swag items (stickers, bookmarks). They had a good amount of fun.

My 3 children went to Pinochios Workshop April last year, whilst we went to Napa Rose for dinner. DD 10, DD7, DS5 all enjoyed themselves, but the activities were fairly basic (colouring, games, Disney movie, walk up to see fireworks). I wouldn't do it every night, but for a night when you need some adult only time, it is certainly acceptable. :goodvibes
