Pinnochio's daring journey to replace SWSA.

While I would love a new dark ride, especially based on Pinocchio, I'd rather see them add rides rather than replace. Snow White's Scary Adventures is classic, and in Disneyland they actually recently added a bunch of cool effects to it. Bring Pinocchio to MK, but give him a new show building!

The presumption here is that there will be a brand new ride, over in the Fantasyland expansion area, themed off of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. SWSA becomes redundant at that point, essentially upgraded to the mine car ride, and can/should be replaced or re-themed with another classic Disney property.

Is this official? Whereas I bought that the original "leaked" blue-print was real, I don't believe the same thing with this one. This looks like a cut-and-paste job...with Dumbo being moved from it's original location and shrunk to cram into a totally unrealistic space.

And why would they make an official announcement just a few weeks ago that the only thing that's going to change is Pixie Hollow, and then suddenly everything is changing? And why would they build a ride based on a character that is not remotely popular anymore? Just because there's one in DL? You might as well say their bringing Mr Toad's Wild Ride back. It doesn't seem to jibe with the way Disney thinks.

Don't get me wrong, I think a 7 dwarves Mine Car ride would be great. However, I don't really believe their going to build another coaster right near where barnstormer is. If they were to build another Junior coaster, they would take out the old one...there's just not a lot of logic to this rumor...

An updated Pinocchio ride would be excellent!! that is CLASSIC Disney.
A Dwarves/Snow White mine car ride with mild thrills is also a step in the right direction.
why not some Wonderland in Magic Kingdom??

Did they officially announce anything on the changes? All the press things I saw from Staggs were just saying it was changing and won't be as little girl centric as the original plans were.... I mean really, we don't know what will happen at all, despite the random Jim Hill-esque rantings of some of our fellow co-posters.

Because there aren't and have NEVER been redundant character attractions at Disney World ;-)

Supposedly it isn't actually a "thrill coaster ride", but rather more a dark ride with minor thrills and some manner of coaster (or maybe coaster-like) ride system.

Of course, one persons minor thrill is anothers extreme thrill ride, so it very much remains to be seen exactly what we're talking about here.

Definitely!! I remember that version. Was Snow White even in that version?? I don't remember her being there when I rode as a little kid.

Classic Snow White, Toad and Pinocchio with some upgrades would be excellent. But, if the Snow White upgrade is a minor thrill ride, I am cool with that, too.
