Pinel Island Snorkel Tour

Has anyone done this excursion in St. Marten? I am wondering if dd7 will be to enjoy it, she is not a great swimmer. Is is done in deep water? Most importantly, for dd9, will we see any fish?

Ill Pinel Island is wonderful. The snorkling is great for children who are good swimmers. It goes out about 8-12 feet. The water is usually calm. We have done it twice. The beach is awsome. You can skip the snorkle cruise and take a cab to the ferry dock. The ferry is a 5 minute ferry and costs $5.00 a person rt. The cab ride is probablly 10-15 minutes from the dock.You could hang our at Ill Pinel island all day. The water is beautiful and calm. You could walk out on the side of the beach where they do not snorkel and just keep walking . There is some snorkling on that side of the beach as well along the rocks. Ill Pinel have several sides of beach. The calmest is near the two beach restaurants. They are expensive and only take cash. Bring cash with you if you want to eat or want a drink. This is a beautiful little island. I say go for it you will not be disappointed. My husband and I are taking our first DC on 8/24/03 4 day Wonder with my DD. We cant't wait.
