Pinecone: Would you do it for $2 a survey?

The way I understand it you will get paid the amount you agreed to when you signed the agreement. If you signed up at $5 you will get $5...if you signed up at $3 or $2 that is what you will get paid. I think a previuos poster was suggesting that the $5 people MIGHT get LESS SURVEYS (not less money)

I don't have time for a $2.00 survey they can sometimes take up a lot of time as it is. Lately I haven't even gotten $5.00 ones though so maybe. I am hoping to get some spending money for our next disney trip.

I get $5 and I havent even gotten one in at least a couple weeks..

Me either. It seems lately that I'm getting fewer and fewer every month. However, I seem to still be getting alot of those that ask about your household and products that you use. You know those short info gathering ones that you don't get paid for.

i have to say that the 2 is not a lot of money. Does a typical survey take five - ten mins ?

I've been a member for almost 4 years, and I still get 3-4 per month (i've only ever gotten that many, and they haven't slowed down - even though I'm at the $5 level)

I did them for a while and thought that they took too much time for $5.00, so I stopped.

I've been doing Pinceone surveys for about a year or two and have always received $5.00 for each survey. Maybe the new people are receiving $2.00. I get the surveys on a regular basis. HTH.

I haven't been doing Pinecone that long, but I am paid $5/survey. However, I have gotten a total pf 3 paid surveys. I must've gotten in on the tail end of the $5. I wish I got more to do, but I'll take what I can get. Those of you paid $2 or $3 are probably getting more $$ than I am though if you're getting more surveys. Of course, you're spending more time on it, too.

Yes. I am sure its Pinecone research. As a matter of fact, today I received a confirmation email stating "due to a processing error, your check voucher mistakenly included a reference for $5 for your participation in study . . . As mentioned in your welcome email, you will receive $2 for each completeld survey." They are probably paying some the $5 and others less. Like I said before, it was extremely lengthy and they continued to ask me questions I felt like I already answered. My kids kept bothering me the entire time and I thought it would never be done. If I do any more, I will do them at night when they are in bed asleep.

I was just accepted also and did a very looooong survey. I too am not sure it will be worth the $2 they are paying new recruits. My email came about the payment error too. Evidently they did not have computers set to pay us such a small amount. I will continue for a while and see if they all take 30 minutes or more. My time is worth more than $4 an hour.

$2???? Absolutely not. $5 for 10-15 minutes surveys is pretty much as cheap as I go. I don't like to see this trend...Pinecone has always been the best online survey place out there, but this is not a positive sign.

I've been with Pinecone for several years and have always gotten $5 for surveys. I just got a check for one I did last week and it's the regular amount.

I signed up with Pinecone a few months ago and I've gotten $5 a survey. Unfortunately I don't get that many. I think I've gotten a total of 3 so far. I'll take whatever I can get. Money is money. If I'm going to be on line, I might as well get something for it. I do other survey sites also and every little bit helps. It may take a while but something is better than nothing. That's just IMHO.

I do $5 survery's and sometimes I think they are extremely long for the $5 I would never do them for $2

Same here. I am assuming us $5 people will get them less frequently now that they can pay $3 to others.

I am getting $2 not even $3 . I have only gotten one and it took forever to finish. :headache:

Thats the what happened to me. $2 just aint what it used to be. I got the survey and it just went on and on. It was probably close to 40 minutes before I was done and the questions were so specific, I had to read them over again sometimes to be sure I knew exactly what they were asking. I'm just not sure its worth $2 for all the time. If I get 2 or three surveys a week and they only take 15-20 minutes or so, I might have a different view. So far, I've only gotton the one --so thoes of you who receive $5 a survey, don't fret. They aren't throwing large amounts of surveys my way even though they only pay me $2 a survey. Does anyone know if all the surveys are typically 35 minutes or more or if that one was unusual?

I know what you mean. And they asked the same question just worded differently so many times. I never knew surveys would take that long. When I am having one of my Senior Moments it is hard to tell what I might answer after I get tired.

I joined a few months ago, have done probably 4 surveys and all have been $5.

I wonder if those that signed up at the $5.00 per survey will now get less surveys. Hope not, but there seems to be less surveys coming my way.:confused3

Since I found this thread I've been wondering the same thing. I've been a member for 2 years and until 3-4 months ago I was receiving 6-10 surveys a month. Now I'm lucky if I receive 1-2 surveys a month.
