Pinecone: Would you do it for $2 a survey?

I recently applied and was accepted to Pinecone research. They sent me my first survey and it was quite lengthy! It took me close to half an hour to complete. For those of you who already participate in pinecone, are the surveys usually that long or was that unusual. I'm not sure if its worth $2 a survey when it takes that long. I know some people receive $5. I guess $2 is better than nothing. Anyone have an opinion?

I've never gotten a $2 survey. It's always been $5.

I don't know if I would bother for $2. Some of the surveys are soooo long and boring. They keep asking almost the same questions over and over for every survey and I hate when you have to check off every brand you ever heard of, which is usually most of them. I don't know if I could sit through that for only $2.

I've never gotten a $2 survey. interesting. I would do it though - you never know if they are going to come through with something more or send you a product.

I've only done $5 surveys as well. I would not do for $2. Actually I hope nobody does. If enough people start doing the surveys for $2, it will reduce/eliminate the $5 surveys.

I got an email recently saying that I was accepted into Pinecone and it listed $2 per survey. I was dissapointed because that doesn't seem worth the time at all.

Wow, I started not that long ago and had 4 surveys and they were all $5 ones. I didn't realize that they had $2. Those surveys are probably not worth my time for $2.

When I was accepted they were at $3 and shortly after they went to $2. I figure that for the ones that get excited over .80 for a survey that $2 or $3 still is not too bad. I have only done one so far but I will do them. I have been trying for years to get into Pinecone so I am not about to quit over a drop in payouts.:confused3

Pinecone orginally offered $5 per survey. New recruits are only receiving $2 per survey.

I'd still do them... of course, I haven't even gotten accepted by them, so not really a decision yet. I figure $2 a few times a month is lunch out for me and the kids. No reason to throw it away, but that's just me.

My daughter started the Pinecone surveys last spring and gets $5 per survey. So far, she's gotten 4 or 5 a month. She's happy to do it for $5 each, but I doubt that she would do it for $2 each (unless they were very short). She's gotten one product to try so far.

I'm at $3 a survey, which isn't that bad. Disappointed that I didn't get $5, but $3 isn't too bad. If more people start doing them at $2, they'll just stop sending them to everyone that has the higher rates.

Wow, I didn't know they were paying less than $5 each. Are you sure your getting surveys from the 'real' Pinecone Research?

Yes. I am sure its Pinecone research. As a matter of fact, today I received a confirmation email stating "due to a processing error, your check voucher mistakenly included a reference for $5 for your participation in study . . . As mentioned in your welcome email, you will receive $2 for each completeld survey." They are probably paying some the $5 and others less. Like I said before, it was extremely lengthy and they continued to ask me questions I felt like I already answered. My kids kept bothering me the entire time and I thought it would never be done. If I do any more, I will do them at night when they are in bed asleep.

I got the same email too.

I just did my first survey the other day for $2, it was super long but I guess since I didn't have anything else to do it wasn't that bad. I would rather do it for $5, but I got in on it to late so I'm only getting $2. All in all though, when I have the free time to do it and make a couple bucks, $2 is better than nothing.

I wonder if those that signed up at the $5.00 per survey will now get less surveys. Hope not, but there seems to be less surveys coming my way.:confused3

I just did one last week and was payed $5 but I have been with them for like 2 years. IMO I don't think it is worth the time for $2. Sometimes I wonder why I do them for $5. But it adds up over time. The only reason I stay with them is the products you get to sample sometimes. I am glad they went to paypal.

I guess I'm lucky ... I've been a panelist for a little over a year, and get usually 2-3 surveys per week (just got one tonight - my 3rd in 7 days) and they're always $5. Hopefully that won't change (frequency *or* amount paid!).

wow, I have always been paid $5, I don't understand why they would start paying less.:confused3
