OK you regulars should have encountered the pine sap problem before. Is there an easy way to remove it? My entire 40 ft long roof is full of sap. HELP!!:scared:

Bug & Tar Remover will work. Paint stores also sell a degreaser that takes off wax and solvents. That will work too. :)

if you have a rubber roof I would ask local rv dealers for suggestions, some household and auto cleansers are harmful to rubber roofs.

I would think that the tree sap would coat the roof and fill in the cracks in the caulking thereby saving you the time and trouble to recaulk the roof seams. :thumbsup2

Sorry, I'm just looking to play. I have not had any experience in this area but I would look to a product made for the roof. Some of the caustic cleaners can have an adverse effect and lead to problems.

Try very hot, but, not boiling water. It should soften the sap up enough to let you peal it up. I wouldn't use a scrapper.

As mentioned if you have a rubber roof like EPDM be very, very careful about what you use since IIRC products that have petroleum in them will attack and destroy the glue since the petroleum easily penetrates the rubber roof material.
