Hi everyone,

I just planted some lovely Impatients around my front yard shade tree and also put some in a container.

They are really growing fast and I pinched back the ones in the contained hoping they would get bushier.

Now my neighbor comes over and says that the wrong thing to do.

Opinions before I pinch the ones under the shade tree?

Thanks, herc

Hi hercamore! :)

I've often pinched my impatiens when they're getting too leggy looking, and I probably will again, if I ever get any planted..lol. :)

Ok,

I think it's a good idea, too.

Our MN weather has been great for gardening this week. Let's hope ti continues!

I think just about any annual can use a good piching back now and again. They should be looking great in no time!:D

If you think thet need a pinching-back they probably did. Annuals love to be pinched-back. While I usually do not pinch-back my impatient's I do find they need lots of fertilizer.
