Pin?????

So, I keep getting these PIN discounts sent to my email but they are addressed to my father (who has never even been to disney). I don't plan on using the PIN code yet but I am planning a trip next year and would love to use one if I get one then so I called disney today and told them the situation and the CM told me not to worry that I can use the PIN even though it is not in my name. I asked to CM to check and see if there were any PIN codes under my name and she said I do not have any. I again asked are you sure I could use this PIN even though it isn't in my name and she said yes.
I thought that you couldn't do this. Is the CM wrong? Should I call again? Has this happened to anyone else? She told me that the name could not be changed but I could remove my email from the list if I wanted.

I received a PIN last night emailed to me but addressed to XXX Family. XXX was my Aunt's last name not mine. We traveled together last year. The PIN fell for my dates this year and my aunt is not going this year. I just called this morning and the CM let me use it. Didn't ask me for the name on the PIN, just for the code itself. When she put it on my current ressie, there was not any issue. It may be who you get too when you call. So if someone says no, you could always call back and try again. I think once you book, if you get a PIN, you'll just have to call and check.
