Hello everyone!
I have never traded pins as many times as I have been to WDW, but we are going to give it a try this year.
My question is, do all the pins have to be sold through Disney that you trade, or is it ok as long as they have Disney Characters on them?
Also, has anyone ever bought pins from Cheappins.com? I was wondering if you have had good luck with them...
Any tips would be helpful!!
Thanks!!

THe pins you trade with cast members wearing lanyards do not have to have characters on them necessarily, but they do have to be Disney pins, that is, they have to have the Disney copyright symbol on the back of the pin. Some WDW cast members wear special green lanyards, and those are for trading with kids only. Here is a list of pin trading rules to help you out: Pin Trading Etiquette
We've bought pins from cheappins.com before without any problem. Just be aware that they will no longer be selling Disney pins in the future, so get your pins before their stock runs dry. Another place to get pins are the Character Wearhouse stores in the outlet malls, if you can get to one.
Most important, have fun!

Thank you for your reply....I got a pin that seems to be from McDonalds, but seems to be from something they did with Disney since it says Millenium Dreamers and the D in Dreamers is the Disney D (know what I mean?) and I was wondering if that could be used for trading since it doesn't have the Disney Copyright on it.

Thanks for the tip on cheappins, I didn't know they weren't selling disney pins anymore!

Hi Stacey...

Are you sure you want to venture in the pin trading world...I'm sure you will have fun. Remember buying the halloween ones last MNSSHP? It's catchy. Corey loves to do it so we will trade some more in May. I wish you guys were going in the fall when we are.
Heres a website that will tell you about ones about to be released and gives you the prices and stuff too.
www.Dizpins.com I spend alot of time on there before my trip to see whats out and what I want to buy. Hows the overtime? You will need it for your new pin habit.

Take it easy,
Lori

Lori,
You are funny! It is mostly my mom that wants to get into the trading so what we are doing is buying cheap pins before we go so that we can trade them for nicer ones that she can keep.
We already have nice lanyards that my friend (a CM) got for me, I have a Tigger one and mom has Bambi.

I still have the MNSSHP ones that we bought but I won't trade those!!

This year we will get MVMCP ones!!

SOOO LIMITED!! LOL
It was crazy getting the pins!! THe pins that were available that night were limited to two per person and they mark your wristband when you buy them.

As for the pins that were sold on other MNSSHP nights, I know they sell whatever is leftover that didn't sell that night, but Lori can fill you in better with that one since she is the one that stood in line to buy them!!!

 hi stacey

thanks::yes:: i suppose you should go straight to the place where you get them from:D

UKTigger,
I think they sell the pins for that nights party at any store....but if you want the ones from other party nights I think you have to go to the City Hall, but Lori would know more about that...she is the one that stood in line!! LOL
Lori....where are you!!
