Pin Trading

My DH and two DS (as well as myself to some extent) really have gotten into pin trading the past two years while at the parks. We are going on the 4 night Wonder at the end of Sept. How many pins should we bring to trade? I know from reading on the boards that there are specific pins available only on the boat. I purchase 40+ pins at the Disney Store while they were on sale for $.62 each. I've learned from past trips to purchase ahead and save $$$. Should I keep looking for more and save these 40+ pins for the cruise or will that be enough for the parks and cruise (we are doing 3 days land before we sail). Thanks for the help!

Sorry I can't answer your question, since I have not cruised yet, but I think you should put this post up over on the collectors board as well. Did you also know that there is a pin cruise in November onboard the Wonder?

I think that we be enough for both. Some, but not most, of the CM's on the Wonder wear pin lanyards. They do have a pin booth set up in the lobby every night with a trading book. In addition one night (not sure which one) a number of the officers stand in the atrium in full dress uniform with their lanyards on for trading. That's the best night to trade. In addition if you are lucky enough to have Sasha (the one on the cruise staff not one of the waiters) he is really into pin trading. He helped me get some limited edition pins and even gave me a Disney Wonder 2003 pin. He's a great guy! You can see a pic of him if click on the link below about the DVC Member Cruise.

FYI,

Can't confirm this but,

I was told that Pin Trading Sasha did not renew his new Disney Contract. thus he is not onboard anymore.

Can anyone confirm?
