This year the wife and I were going to get into pin trading rather than just buying.

I thought that the idea was that you bought cheap pins and then traded them with CM's for more expensive/CM only ones however we couldn't find any cheap ones so just bought the ones we wanted rather than buying ones the same price and then trying to find the ones we wanted.

Have I missed the point on pin trading or something?

Yeah, tis hard to find cheap pins at DLRP.

I bought a load of cheapies off eBay beofre my trip!

Am asking for a 30 pin grab bag for my xmas pressie!! Then I can trade like mad in January!

I guess that's probably the only way to do it. Wish I'd have thought of that before hand but maybe we need another trip just for pin trading :cool1:

I didn't look this time, but quite often they have sale price pins (ie 3 euros) near the cashier tills. I've seen these at the shop in the Santa Fe, and the big store near the boarding house on Main St.

Oooh, I'll keep an eye out!

I always thought about starting to collect aswell...

I sometimes see a set of 10 metal pins on ebay for about £10-12, is this good???

The thing is though I dont think I will wanna give them up LOL!!!!

We looked everywhere when Kacee was alseep. We tried every shop and every hotel in DLRP (other than Davey Crocket) and none were to be found even by the tills.

Never mind, I'll try next time.

I think thats a really good price - 10 pins are just about perfect on a lanyard, and they are, at the moment, 6 euros each if you buy them new in the parks.

ooooo might get some then, even if nobody approaches me to swap then I can keep them LOL

You're best to approach them, every time i went in a shop, past a stall I had a look at the CMs lanyards. :)

They are very helpful and will always trade.

I did this too, although I asked the wife to look at the Womens ones as I felt rather embarresed as the lanyards fall in an awkward place :)

I also always kinda said 'can I take a look' and pointed to my lanyard, then they often moved their hair or whatver and made sure all theri pins were viewable. :)

Any of the pin trading stations (they are marked on the map) although cheaper on ebay!! :)

The buy it now price on that link is more expensive than at DLRP :confused3 . Those starter sets are 20 euros in the parks aren't they, and with a Dream AP you get 20% off.

They are 19.90 before disocunt, 15.92 afterwards :thumbsup2

I just bought 2 lanyards for DD and DS off of ebay and paid £7.40 Probably could've got them a bit cheaper had I waited and bid on them but I paid the more expensive buy it now price to make sure I got them. But anyway, if you get that and then your 10 pins for £10 you'll be all set :)

The shop I got ours from is wishingchelles if you want to have a look it's here

but it's from America and they don't have a great selection. I was looking for Hannah Montana and Lightning McQueen from Cars so it worked for me :rotfl:
