Pin trading?

Does pin trading go on at Disneyland?? DD's 11 and 12 need to know! lol

Yes, they do have pin trading. There are pin carts located around the park and a lot of CMs wear lanyards with pins for trading. We also did a "pin learning class" for our youngsters in the main pin shop. It was pretty cool and the kids got 3 pins each to start their pin collection/trading.

We're planning on trading pins on our Disneyland trip, as well.

"Pin learning class"? How do you sign up for this? What is the cost?

Pin trading is alive and well at DLR. You can usually find many people sitting near Coke corner, or in front of the Little Green Men Pin Trader. CM's all wear lanyards, or have it right behind the counter if you ask. If I remember correctly, the teal color lanyards are for kid trading only, while other lanyard colors are free game. 2 pins maximum trade per CM.

Pin trading class was free. It was for kids just getting into pin trading, though I don't know how they would know if you were or weren't. We were there for our first family trip ever and found out about the class in the main pin trading shop near/in Tomorrowland, just before getting to Buzz's eating area. Anyway, we just asked when the next class was, signed up and came back the next day. They went through all the ins and outs of trading, then let the kids select easter eggs with pins inside. If they didn't like the pins they would trade with the pin trader before they left. My kids seemed to like trading more than worrying about what they got/received. My 4yo would get a pin in trade then turn around and trade it with the next person he saw. He was MR. TRADER!!

Just back from DL. It seems that there is no longer a pin trading class offered at DL. : (
