Pin trading with cast members

Thanks, it sounds a bit too risky to buy the lots then. I have started looking at reputable ebayers selling individual pins. The trouble is that all I keep finding is pins that I think the girls would want to keep It is a shame that the disney store stopped having a bigger range of pins because that would make life much easier.

Joth, I'm as clueless as you about all this (well, actually, I'm sure I'm worse as I literally have 4 pins ), but have you thought about the 'booster' set pins that Disney do? If you go on 'the' auction site and put in booster sets there are the odd ones - quite a few from US though so postage can be higher.

These might be good for trading as obviously not as expensive.

I too am primarily thinking of pins we will keep rather than trade but I'm sure it could progress

Hey everyone. Just thought I'd throw my experience with pin trading in DLP. We are from the States so we are constantly going to WDW where we do a lot of pin trading. It is as stated above. As long as it is an official Disney pin, the CMs will trade with you except if it is a personal lanyard. We brought our lanyards to DLP this past May and found it is very difficult to trade there, at least in comparison with Disney. A few CMs were no trouble, though I felt more intimated in DLP. I felt like I was bothering them. The weirdest CM we encountered was one where I asked to trade a Cinderella pin of theirs for a Haunted Mansion ghost of mine. The CM refused, pointed to my bridal Ariel and said she wanted that one. I was so confused and caught of guard that I almost agreed! Luckily my DF was there to pull me away. In Disney, as long as it is an official pin, they trade. In DLP, it is hit or miss. Hope this helps.
