I would consider trading based on three
things... the original retail price of the
pin offered to you in return, the wants
vs. traders ratio on pinpics... and how
badly I wanted the pin that they were
offering me (how long I have been looking
for that pin)
Alot of the time, to get a pin I really
want (regarless if it is LE or not)
I'll trade a highly sought after pin
with a low LE for it...
or, like to get a lanyard for example,
I have sent TA's and in the message
area, I have offered my ID along with
please consider a multiple trade.
(that works like a charm!) people then
realize that you are seriously seeking
that pin and are open for discussion.
That way it is more equitable for the
person with the more sought after item.
I find it all depends on what YOU are
comfortable with.
Then, I have also gotten some TA's
on pinpics where they offer me something
that is totally weighted in my favor
and I accept the trade, but ask them
to confirm that they want to make
the trade based on A.B. & C....
and I have gotten notes back saying,
"you are right, what was I thinking"
others say "oh yeah... it is a pin
I really want - that is ok!"
It depends on you and the other trader!
Some people I have found also use
a link called "find all pins I can trade now"
It is in the members area somewhere...
and that is where MANY of the off the
wall requests come from... like for instance
offering a
Disney store pin for your
LE 750 spinner! Many newbies don't
realize what that button is for... I certainly
didn't when I was new!
