Does anyone know if I can trade the "911 Freedom Rings" pin in the parks. My kids have a few and we are going to keep one and would like to trade the others.

Has anyone ever traded this pin before?

Also, would we need to leave it attached to the cardboard backing that it comes on with Walt's quote.

Welcome to the crazy world of pin trading.

If the pin says Disney on the back, it's acceptable by CMs. The only other rules are:
a. it can't be a split set.
b. they can't already have one on their lanyard.
(but some CMs are lenient with these rules and you will see broken sets and duplicate pins on lanyards)

No, you would not give them the card backing.

Has anyone actually traded this pin before? I just want to save the kids any let down if for some reason this is not a disney trading pin.

Thanks for your response!:D

I've never traded this particular pin, but my observations of CMs trading with children has been that nearly all of them are very easy-going on pin-trading with kids. I wouldn't worry about it. I've not seen a CM refuse a trade with a child yet.
