Pin Trading Event?

Now I understand why rooms at the Swolphin are in short supply/expensive...

My stay spans the Pin Trading Event at Epcot (19th - 21st September 2003)


How 'bad' will this be? Will it attract thousands of extra guests!? Last time I went to Epcot (Oct2002) it was very quiet (too quiet), I was hoping it would be a 'little' busier this time!

I am one of those crazy souls going for the pin event! I don't think you should find that the pin event will make rides and things any busier - as most of the 'pin people' will be in the World Showplace - Epcot, pin trading not spending that much time on the rides!

Only 1200 tickets to the event have been sold - but I am sure plenty more people than that will be hanging around for the trading. All the three days you mention the event activities only take place in the Epcot World Showplace.
The event has now been extended one day earlier also & will be in the Yacht & Beach Convention Center for that day.

If you want to see a load of crazy people trading pop into the World Showplace on the 21st September - this is the public day so any one can come in!

I don't think it will have affected the Swan & Dolphin to much - the official accomodation Disney suggests & gives a discount on was Port Orleans Riverside. I know plenty of pin people are staying at the All Stars - we need to save our money for pins! I am saving even more money staying offsite!

Wow - a real pin trading devotee?! I confess, I cannot imagine flying thousands of miles to spend days buying badges!

Last year the GF used our room key to create quite a charge buying pins. No interest in trading - just buys the ones she likes...

I had hoped to spend the day (21st) wandering around World Showcase - drinking may way around it! It is my Birthday the following day...

I shall look our for you! I'll be the one wearing a birthday pin and a slight fuzzy, slightly drunk smile!
