We started trading in sep 06 and love it, have loads now in 2 folders with alot of limited addition pins.
It is a great way to meet sm`s and fellow traders

My sons (14 and 16) really enjoy collecting and trading pins. They have met several really nice people while trading.

I started collecting pins when I went in 2006 (my first trip to WDW) and am kind of addicted. Is there anything traders do while they are in disney to show that they trade? For example I know before people from here would wear lime green shirts to show they visit disboards. Thank you.

We are hooked!

I started it initially (2007 trip) and son joined in. I have a "trading lanyard" with about 20 to trade for the 2008 trip, son's are all "keepers" (about 25) and then I have two keepers myself (about 40 or so).

Before Christmas the "Disneyshoppingonline" store had a bunch of stackable discounts and LE pins, as well as Crocs, were amazing values! I broke down and finally bought some Crocs! I slso bought over 80 LE pins, for a little less than 2.50 each (after discounts and with free S&H), to trade on our next trip! These pins are nice!

My hubby and son ride the rides so DS only trades at restaurants, giftshops, or every great now and then in the park (I keep his "trading pins" in my bag). I on the other hand, have mobility issues which severely limits my riding rides, so me and my ECV travel all around and explore! I am going to give DS 30 (or so) of the new pins to trade, and the rest (including my 20 "traders" I already have) are going to be for me to trade during the two weeks we visit this September! I figure some people will be very happy getting a shiny, new LE pin (1 out of 1000)!

I love Lilo & Stitch and Tink, but really trade for whatever appeals to me... if it is cute or unique I trade for it, I do not care what edition it is (like Hidden Mickey or LE or Cast Exclusive). My "keeper lanyards" are quite ecclectic!

DS mainly has Jack Skelington and POTC... with a few Mickey's scattered in there!

It can be quite expensive but makes for an enjoyable trip and nice souvenier!
