Hi everyone!
We received a pin in the mail today for the first time ever
banana
and, since we were already planning on traveling to WDW between Dec 9th-13th, called to apply the pin to our pre-existing reservation. We were hoping to stay at the GF for our very first WDW visit during the holiday season, but two different CMs explained that there are absolutely no GF rooms available with the pin. I am confused by this, though, since there is still rack room availability online. We went ahead and booked the Poly, but still have our hearts set on being at the GF for its decorations. 
My question is this: What is the relationship between individual pins and GP room-only discounts? Is it likely that, since there is still rack rate room availability at the GF, there will be a new batch of rooms available with the (hopefully impending) GP room-only discount? Or does the GP just get the rooms that pin-holders have not already booked? I'm just wondering what our chances are with the GF since I'm not really familiar with how pins work in relation to room-only codes. Any ideas?
I hope everyone else who is holding out for a resort discount gets what they are looking for!
