Okay, I know which pin is the rarest in most sets, but which pin is the rarest in the Haunted Mansion set? Or are they all equally as rare?

i would say maybe Madam leota because you could only get that pin for 1 day.

Is there some thread that speaks about pin rarity? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Well, I can give you as much information as I know about which pins are rare. In terms of magic pins, the rarest is, of course, inferno, followed by snowman and bat magics. Of the Tomorrowland pins, the orange Tomorrowland 8/9 pin is the rarest. The lion is the rarest Jungle Cruise pin. Apparently, Madame Leota is the rarest Haunted Mansion pin. The third Everest pin is the rarest in that set. I'm assuming the Grand Californian is the rarest hotel pin, but I'm not positive. The 1963 Tiki Opens pin is the rarest Tiki pin, the first pirate pin is the rarest of that set, the surfing pin is the rarest waterpark pin, the Churro pin is the rarest food pin, and the new Eye pin is the rarest Inner-Space pin. I think all of the Hong Kong pins are about equally as rare.

All other pins in each set have about the same level of rarity.

I hope that made enough sense. For pictures of these pins, check out the pin guide in the trades and wishes board.

Actually, of the Hong Kong pins, Hong Kong Disneyland pin is the rarest.

I might take this on if some of my friends could help me. This passed weekend needs to be evaluated before you can say for sure which pins are worth more than which pins but there are some things here that definitely are off.

The leota pin was available for more than 1 day, and was also a prize for the halloween maze FIASCO (LOL). Anyone who completed the maze, or wrote to them complaining about DC got one (lots got it that way). The hosts also gave it out that month. The master Gracie pin seems to be more rare in that set but I can't remember why that is for sure. I will have to read back and see if theres a reason for it. But you will often see people exchange a leota for a gracie in a trade room.

the snowman magic pins and bat magic pins are definitely not worth more than an orange tomorrowland 8/9 pin. In fact it will cost you at least 4 bat magic pins to get a tomorrowland 8/9 pin.

The stitch pin is the most rare after inferno, following the tomorrowland 8/9 (but 8/9 is generally thought worth more)

The grand californian is definitely next (this weekend brought some more about however)

Next would be the lion pin most likely followed by the hyena (not given the respect it deserves LOL)

Next I would lump the remainder of the host given pins (with the exception of everest 3/5 which was given out just way to much)

and then all the weekly pin sets from there

I may have forgot some along the way there, but theres some good info for you, and will clear up some of the misconceptions.
