Okay, would like to get my kids started with some pins before we get there. Can't find lanyards anywhere for kids......do these exist? Tried our local Disney store, they don't carry them.....Disneydirect has some pins, didn't find any lanyards. Lanyards I have found say adult size. Also found a site called classicpins.com, pins priced at $5, are these the real deal? Anyone else ordered from them? Also found a link that had some cast member only pins for sale, they were pretty cheap also. Any info and suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!!!

Claire's sells them. Not sure if they would have anything a boy would like though if you need one.

Edited to add: If you are looking for inexpensive pins just for trading, try E-Bay. Search for "Disney Pins Lot". I did that last year and got 6 pins for around $8.00. We used them to trade with CMs for pins we really wanted.

Honestly, my suggestion is to wait and buy the lanyard starter set when you get there. They well worth the money, and you don't have to pay the shipping! They come with 4 pins. Laughingplace.com has them, but they are TWICE as expensive there than they are in the parks!

I just won an E-Bay auction, for 25 pins, for $70.00. A little over $3.00/each, w/ S&H so a great deal, when compared to $6.50 each at WDW.

As for the lanyard, I've seen those on E bay as well, but I'm waiting till we get there, and letting my youngest DD pick her own. My older one already has one.

With 2 pin traders on our next trip, I was determined to get some from E-bay, for less.

My dd received a lanyard last year with our package stay at POP, but you mentioned letting your child pick their lanyard.... does that mean that there are different ones?

I don't know about at the parks, but if you search Ebay under Disney Lanyards there are lots to choose from. I've seen Toy Story, Mickey, Princess, Nemo...many.

I bought my DD4 a lanyard (she doesn't know yet...still a surprise that we're going NEXT WEEK  ) on Ebay with the Disney Vllians on it (she's into that...kids right? It's just a phase, right?:).

I got the lanyard for $4.00, and after s/h wound up costing my $7.50. NOT BAD! And I got to pick out the exact one that I knew she would LOVE. I have also bought a lot of pins from Ebay. Average cost per pin is $2.50. I try to buy from the same seller so that they will combine the shipment and save you shipping costs. Don't forget...buy UGLY ones. The point is to get pins your kid doesn't like, so they will WANT to trade them. Otherwise you're not really pin trading...you're just pin buying right? ;)

Last suggestion would be to check the collectors board for specific pin buying info. There are some types of pins that are not tradeable. Definitely worth a read.

GOOD LUCK!
Mel

DID I MENTION THAT I'M LEAVING IN LESS THAN A WEEK ....madam that is A DANCING BANANA IN MY.... well...IN MY POST!!!
