Pin question

My mother got a pin in the mail for fr dining for the dates that we will be going. However my mom is not sure she will be able to go. if we make a res with 2 rooms and my mom has to cancel will we lose the free dining on the 2nd room? Im debating wheather to make our own res and hope for fd or a good discount or take a chance and book 2 rooms with her fd pin and hope she can go
